摘要
In this work, the decahedral recursive growth model, which generates atomic structures of crystals and quasicrystals of all symmetries, is used to reproduce the structure of the decagonal phase. The atomic structures obtained match experimental observations and provide information about the precise nature of its relation to the icosahedral phase, how the different observed periodicities come about, the structure of the fundamental 0.4 nm unit, the origin of the tenfold habit, etc.
