SOLUBILITY OF NONPOLAR GASES IN HEXAMETHYLENOXIDE

Solubility measurements of 13 nonpolar gases (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, H2, D2, N2, CH4, C2H4, C2H6, CF4, and SF6) in hexamethylenoxide were carried out at 101.32 kPa partial pressure of gas in the temperature range of 273.15 to 303.15 K. From the experimental results, partial molar Gibbs energy, partial molar enthalpy, and partial molar entropies of solution were evaluated. Using Pierotti's method, Lennard-Jones 6, 12 pair potential parameters for hexamethylenoxide were calculated; the values found are 5.79.10-10 m for σ1, and 641 K for Ε1/k.
