Liquid densities of HCFC 225ca (1,1-dichloro-2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropane), HCFC 225cb (1,3-dichloro-1,2,2,3,3-pentafluropropane), and HCFC 141b (1,1-dichloro-1-fluroroethane) have been measured at temperatures from 298 to 348 K by a vibrating-tube method. Pressure ranges of the measurements are up to 5 MPa for HCFC 225ca and HCFC 225cb and up to 100 MPa for HCFC 141b. The uncertainty of the densities obtained is estimated to be within +/-0.1%. Simple correlation equations were developed to represent the saturated liquid densities as a function of temperature. Comparisons of the volumetric properties for the present possible alternatives and those of restricted substances CFC 113 (1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-?? trifluoroethane) and CFC 11 (trichlorofluoromethane) are given.
