摘要
This article explores China's economic identity as revealed in debates surrounding the establishment and expansion of special economic zones. The concept "national economic identity' is developed in a discussion of how national identity is expressed in economic matters. The language used to define and criticize the SEZs is then examined for insights into the formation and reformulation of Chinese economic identity. -from Author
