摘要
Slurry precipitated mixed oxide catalysts for propene oxidation and ammoxidation have been prepared and their reactivity has been established by both temperature programmed desorption (TPD) after the adsorption of propene and reactor rate measurements. TPD shows the evolution of a multiplicity of products, as well as unreacted propene, which desorbs with a peak at 426K. Acrolein evolves at 605K, while CO2 is detected over a broader range of temperature between 628K and 694K. It is unnecessary to dose the surface with gas phase oxygen to produce acrolein confirming the selective role of lattice oxygen. However, predosing with oxygen can enhance reactant burning, and hence, significantly decrease selectivity. The details of the mechanistic steps and their associated kinetics is described, together with steady state reactor rate measurements.
