A general cubic equation of state presented in previous works (Danes and Geana, 1979; Geana, 1986a, b) is applied to the computation of vapour-liquid equilibrium in the ternary system N2 + CO2 + CH4. The calculation results are compared with other authors' computations based on the Peng-Robinson equation. The general cubic equation gives improved predictions of phase behaviour for the system considered. © 1990.
