摘要
Compressed geometry NEC accelerator tubes employing electron trap electrodes with 45° V apertures have been installed and tested. Vacuum chemistry techniques have been developed to minimize the number of low field electron emission sites. Electrode emission behaviour is compared to phenomena observed from interface electron emission. The accelerator successfully achieved 16.7 MV in only a few weeks. © 1990.
