摘要
The very proton-rich nuclide 48Mn, produced in C-12(Ca-40, p3n) reactions, was investigated using on-line mass separation combined with singles and coincidence spectroscopy of beta-delayed gamma-rays and protons. Compared to the previous 48Mn decay work, a more accurate value of 158.1 (22) ms was obtained for the half-life, gamma-singles, gamma-gamma-coincidence and proton singles data were improved, and proton-gamma coincidences were measured for the first time. A revised Cr-48 level scheme is proposed. The experimentally deduced Gamow-Teller strength distribution is compared with predictions from shell-model calculations.
