摘要
A Penning trap is designed for utilization in ultrahigh-resolution spectroscopy and atomic physics. The stored Be+ ions in this trap are detected electrically by the rf absorption method. The total number, axial frequency and storage time of the stored ions are measured. The axial frequency of the stored ions is theoretically estimated by considering the space charge effect and is compared with the measurements.
