CAVITY CONFIGURATIONS FOR COPPER VAPOR LASER PUMPED TITANIUM SAPPHIRE LASERS

摘要
Efficient operation of a copper vapour laser pumped titanium sapphire laser is demonstrated. The important design parameters and necessary compromises are discussed. Broadband slope efficiencies of 26% are reported with an average power of 950 mW. The relative merits of different tuning techniques are compared. Injection seeding with a cw laser diode has given 650 mW in a diffraction limited beam with 5 GHz bandwidth.
