摘要
For the detection of X-rays in the energy range 5-40 keV, traditional NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors have been confined to a limited dynamic range. The development of sophisticated counting electronics together with ultra low noise power supplies and the use of a novel, fast non-hydroscopic scintillator have allowed the development of a detector with a background count of 0.1. cps and a peak count rate in excess of 3 X 10(6) cps. We report on the performance of this detector for X-ray diffraction experiments.
