摘要
Of a total of 156 Acinetobacter isolated obtained from a biological nutrient removal pilot plant, 80 could accumulate polyphosphate from a medium with low phosphorus concentrations (constitutive accumulators), 61 accumulated polyphosphate only from medium with high phosphorus concentrations (conditional accumulators) and the remainder were unable to accumulate polyphosphate on either medium. There was no relationship between the ability to accumulate polyphosphate in pure culture and the taxonomic status of the isolates, in terms of their genospecies.
