摘要
The design and performance of the third level trigger of the L3 experiment at LEP are described. The implementation is based on a 3081/E emulator farm interfaced to the Fastbus data acquisition system and on software algorithms for event processing written in FORTRAN. The system, used for background rejection and event tagging, also provides online monitoring of the detector status and the data quality.
