摘要：

The energy-distance profiles of homopolymers with a narrow molecular weight distribution in different electrolyte solutions were measured. The results presented are for polymer solutions of constant concentration. We found that the interaction energy between the surfaces always takes the form of repulsion. This is in agreement with the theoretical prediction of a restricted equilibrium according to which the amount of polymer between the surfaces does not change during compression. The thickness of adsorbed polymer at the interface is equivalent to a few radii of gyration of a free coil in solution.
