FLUORESCENCE ANALYSIS OF 2 NEW TICT SYSTEMS - 10-CYANO-9,9'-BIANTHRYL (CBA) AND 10,10'-DICYANO-9,9'-BIANTHRYL (DCBA)

摘要
Two new TICT systems, 10-cyano-9,9'-bianthryl (CBA) and 10,10'-dicyano-9,9'-bianthryl (DCBA) were detected. Their fluorescence properties and those of 9,9'-bianthryl were examined in solvents of different polarity. The extremely strong overlap between the TICT- and the LE-emission bands requires a new method of band deconvolution. Details are described. The solvatochromic shift of the TICT band amounts up to 6.6 x 10(3) cm-1 for CBA, 5.1 x 10(3) cm-1 for BA and 3.2 x 10(3) cm-1 for DCBA. From these, data dipole moments of the TICT state were calculated as 22.7 D (CBA), 20 D (BA) and 19.6 D (DCBA).
