STRUCTURE DETERMINATION OF COPPER(II)-BETA-CYCLODEXTRIN COMPLEX BY FOURIER-TRANSFORM INFRARED-SPECTROSCOPY

摘要
Copper(II)-beta-cyclodextrin complex was prepared and investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Changes in infrared spectra occurring due to complex formation were studied. Strong evidences for the previously proposed binuclear hydroxy-bridged complex could not be observed, but another structure containing two aquo-copper(II) ions for one mol beta-cyclodextrin seemed to be probable. Further support for the simultaneous existence of first- and second-sphere interaction was obtained.
