摘要
What happens when the guest does not fit the host? The guest is not accommodated … or the host modifies its structure! In the urea inclusion compound with sebaconitrile (structure shown on the right), the adjustment of the host structure to the requirements of the guest, which is firmly bound by hydrogen bonds, results in an unconventional crystal form. Comparison with the structure of the (D4)urea inclusion compound, which crystallizes in the normal form, indicate the reasons for this structural change. (Figure Presented.)
