摘要：

Picramniaceae, a new rosid family, is established. A diagnosis and brief descriptions of the two genera (Picramnia and Alvaradoa) constituting the family are provided. The Simaroubaceae are recircumscribed to include only members of the subfamily Simarouboideae, excluding Harrisonia but including Leitneria (Leitneriaceae).
