摘要
Our present understanding of the energy migration and trapping in the photosystems of higher plants is highlighted, summarizing recent results from Picosecond fluorescence spectroscopy. The discussion focuses on three main topics: (i) the problem of deciding between trap- vs. diffusion-limited exciton kinetics in photosystem I antenna-reaction centre particles; (ii) the manifestation of heterogeneity for photosystem II in terms of molecular rate constants for the primary processes; (iii) the processes of energy transfer, primary charge separation and charge recombination in isolated D1-D2-cytochrome-b559 reaction centre preparations from photosystem II.
