In this chapter details of the catalysts' preparation by Rhone-Poulenc are given including primary characterizations (chemical analysis, surface area, pore volume, X ray diffraction analysis, particle size, Raman spectroscopy data) by the manufacturer for the support and both catalysts with ca. 1 and 7.8 wt.-% V2O5 on TiO2. The following chapters will give much more detailed characterizations of the materials.
