摘要
A mechanism for nucleation in zeolite synthesis is proposed. Because of mutual repulsion, assemblies of large items (such as charged template molecules with or without mantle or water clusters with or without ions) will attain an order that minimizes the potential energy of the assembly. The framework is built as a deposit between the ordered items, and these will become the largest voids in a zeolite crystal. The model offers a basis to discuss many experimental conditions and the symmetry of zeolites.
