摘要：

Fifty geriatric patients with coccygodynia were treated with methylprednisolone acetate. Other therapies in a few cases included indomethacin, massage and ligament stretching. The injection of repository methylprednisolone acetate (procaine anesthesia) into the sacral hiatus relieved the pain and disability of coccygodynia promptly in 82% of the cases. This regimen was permanently successful in 41 of the 50 patients and there were no significant side effects attributable to the medication.
