摘要
The selective plasma membrane permeabilization of animal cells is a way of introducing non permeable substrates into the cytoplasmic space. This technique facilitates the introduction of a wide range of labelled precursors and avoids the drawbacks of subcellular fractionation. We review here various physical and chemical methods successfully used in different metabolic studies, and as an example, note the advantages of permeabilized cells in glycosylation studies. © 1990.
