ELECTROCHEMICAL OXIDATION OF LA2CUO4 - INFLUENCE OF THERMAL-TREATMENT ON SUPERCONDUCTIVITY

摘要
Electrochemical oxidation of La2CuO4 at the limiting value of 0.15 electrons per formula unit yields superconducting materials with T(c) values dependent on the applied potentials and on the drying procedure. Superconducting fractions and structural factors are also dependent on the thermal treatment that follows the synthesis. A reorganization of charge carriers with temperature that would involve charge transfer between Cu and intercalated oxygen atoms, is proposed to explain the analytical data obtained for different samples.
