摘要
Characterization of gas phase species is of fundamental importance to a greater understanding of ps to particle conversion processes of interest to materials synthesis. This paper describes the use of Laser Excited Fluorescence as an in situ method for characterization of gas phase species in a densely laden particle forming flow. The method provides for non-invasive, high spatial resolution measurements in a high temperature hostile environment. Examples of the application of the method will be described for the measurement of OH and SiO in a silica particle forming high temperature flow.
