OPTICAL-CONSTANTS OF THERMALLY EVAPORATED ARSENIC TRISELENIDE USING ONLY TRANSMISSION SPECTRUM

摘要
A procedure to calculate the optical constants and thickness of thin films, using only data from the transmission spectrum has been employed in arsenic triselenide films prepared by thermal evaporation. Using this technique, the calculated thickness was found to an accuracy from 1. 0 to 3. 5% compared to other methods used. The refractive index and absorption coefficents, as a function of photon energy, have been calculated using this technique and showed to be accurate enough. The surface roughness calculated is compared to that determined using stylus profile technique.
