摘要
The embedment of ion exchange resins with a hydraulic binder generally results in setting and hardening problems related to the nature and concentration of the elements retained by the resins. This investigation proposes a process for the treatment and embedment of ion exchange resins with a formulated hydraulic binding agent. The resin treatment process targets the precipitation of lithium and boron composites retained by the resins in the form of salts which are either insoluble or have a low solubility factor. It enables the subsequent embedment of these resins with a Portland cement based matrix. The coated products thus obtained offer interesting characteristics which are compatible with presently applicable recommendations.
