ON THE INTERPRETATION OF THE SPINOR PHASE-CHANGE IN A MAGNETIC-FIELD IN NEUTRON INTERFEROMETRY

摘要
It is shown that the phase change of neutrons moving through a static magnetic field, in the weak field approximation, as measured in neutron interferometry is not due to the change of the wave vector k (i.e. longitudinal Stern-Gerlach effect), but rather is due to spin rotation, just as for neutrons at rest and for neutrons in a time-varying magnetic field. © 1990.
