We examine the 2d Anderson model numerically and find a behaviour for large as well as for weak magnetic fields which is qualitatively different from the B = 0 case. Our data strongly suggest an Anderson transition for B ≠ 0 corresponding to a non-algebraic zero of the β-function which can be excluded safely for the zero field case. An estimation of the critical exponent shows good agreement with a previous result obtained for the divergence of the localisation length in the middle of the first Landau band, thus supporting universality. © 1990.
