HYPERFINE-STRUCTURE OF FIRST NEGATIVE SYSTEM (BETA(2)SIGMA(+)(U)-CHI(2)SIGMA(+)(G)) OF N-14(2)+ AND N-15(2)+ FROM LASER-INDUCED FLUORESCENCE MEASUREMENTS

In this work, we present a study of the hyperfine structure of the (1,2) band of the first negative system (B 2Σu +-X 2Σg+) of 14N2+ and 15N2 + using laser-induced fluorescence with the fast ion beam laser spectroscopy technique. The hyperfine structure of 14N 2+ and 15N2+ have been observed in 30 rotational lines (5≤N″≤19) of the (1,2) band of this system. The Fermi-contact (b′F,b″F) and dipolar (t′,t″) hyperfine parameters are given with their evolutions versus the vibrational quantum numbers. Furthermore, the hyperfine structure of 15N2+ led to the revision of the preliminary spin-rotation (γ′,γ″) constants. The hyperfine parameters for the (1,2) band in the B 2Σu +-X 2Σg+ system have been determined for the first time. © 1994 American Institute of Physics.
