摘要
An integral method for modelling growth of daytime well mixed layers (WML) is described. The model solves one-dimensional equations for heat, turbulent kinetic energy and, where appropriate, momentum to provide a reliable means of estimating WML height and the strength of the capping inversion at the top of the layer using surface meteorological input data. Field tests show that the model gives good results when initialized correctly by an accurate temperature profile.
