摘要：

The classical and quantum theory of atom-symmetric-top collisions is developed by assuming that the medium- and long-range parts of the potential can be neglected and the short-range part replaced by an infinitely high (hard-core) barrier. The rotational energy transfer is analyzed for the He-CH4, He-CH3D, and He-CDH3 systems.
