摘要
Experimental and theoretical information is reviewed on range and damage distributions generated during hydrogen bombardment, and, on this basis, the present understanding of the behavior of the implanted atoms after slowing down. It is seen that many of the observed phenomena can be explained by simple models in terms of diffusion, trapping, and recombination at the surface. Simplified criteria are presented for the properties of implanted metal-hydrogen systems as a function of temperature.
