摘要
A modification of the indophenol method applied to the determination of ammonia and urea in the same sample is described. Indophenol, formed proportionally to the amount of ammonia available, is selectively concentrated in a single purification-concentration step, using simple and recyclable columns of Amberlite XAD-7 resin, thus increasing the method sensitivity. Its application to seawater samples is described. The procedure is applicable to analysis of large numbers of samples running simultaneously in routine studies and eliminates possible artifacts that may alter the precision and sensitivity of the method.
