摘要
Substituted allylamines like 1 react with nitrones 2 by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition to form isoxazolidines 3, which are separable by chromatography. Hydrogenolytic opening of the isoxazolidines yields 1,3-amino alcohols, which when built into the angiotensinogen sequence, lead to renin inhibitors of type 4.
