摘要：

Patients (5) with photosensitivity due to the cardiac anti-arrhythmic agent amiodarone were shown to have a reduced erythema threshold to UV-A radiation. Measurement of the in vivo action spectrum showed that photosensitivity was maximal at 350 nm and extended up to 400 nm. Preliminary in vitro analysis suggests that amiodarone itself is not the photosensitizer but that a metabolite is responsible. The possible nature of this metabolite is discussed.
