摘要
NAFION is a commercial perfluorosulphonic acid ion-exchange material. It was developed as a separation membrane for electrochemical cells e. g. in the chlor-alkali industry. ac conductivity and **1H NMR relaxation time measurements are reported for NAFION films of differing water contents (14. 3% and 26. 2% H//2O by mass) over a range of temperatures. The results are interpreted in terms of distributions of proton translational correlation times and related to the behavior of water sorbed by charcoals and in zeolites. The motion of protons is more liquid-like in the higher water content material.
