In this paper thermodynamic properties of oxygen such as enthalpy and entropy are presented, as calculated from the BWR equation of state1 using eight coefficients which were optimized in a previous paper2, and compared to those of nitrogen. The thermodynamic properties calculated were found to be satisfactory in the region from atmospheric pressure up to the critical pressure, including the saturated and superheated zones and the region above the critical pressure. The accuracies are, however, slightly less than those for nitrogen. It is, therefore, concluded that thermodynamic properties can be accurately predicted by the BWR equation of state, using the eight previously determined coefficients, in both the subcritical and supercritical regions. © 1990.
