摘要
The heterobimetallaborane Cu[P(C6H5)3)]2B6-H9Fe(CO)4 is prepared by the reaction of K[Fe(CO)4B6H9] with [P(C6H5)3]2CuBr.0.5C6H6. The species forms by insertion of the Cu(I) moiety into a basal boron-boron bond in the Fe(CO)4B6H10 moiety generated by removal of a bridging hydrogen. This is the first report of a rational synthesis of a heterobimetallaborane from B6H10.
