ADSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS AND REACTIONS OF PROPYNE ON MICROPOROUS CRYSTALS

摘要
The adsorption behaviour of propyne, which is a reactive alkyne, on proton and sodium-type Y-zeolites of different Si/Al ratios has been investigated by IR, EPR, GC/MS and adsorption calorimetry The propyne adsorptivity increased with increasing number of cation sites. The reactivity of adsorbed species depended strongly on the kind of cations. Propyne was chemisorbed on the proton-type zeolites, giving rise to several kinds of oligomers, whereas no chemisorption was observed on the sodium-type zeolite. The adsorbate-adsorbent interactions were evaluated by use of adsorption calorimetry.
