摘要
The transverse relaxation of excitons in the dynamical Stark effect is treated on a microscopic level within a density‐matrix approach explaining the strongly suppressed damping for the off‐resonant pump pulse. An expression for the differential transmission spectrum is derived including the dependence on pump‐ and test polarization. Calculations for CdS with its three exciton series are given.
