NONLINEAR TRANSMISSION, ULTRAFAST RELAXATION AND 3-PHOTON ABSORPTION IN REDUCED SRTIO3

摘要
The nonlinear transmission of single picosecond light pulses (lambda = 1.08-mu-m) in reduced SrTiO3 is investigated at high intensities. Saturation of free-carrier absorption with ultrashort relaxation time (10(-11) - 10(-10) s) is observed at 10(8) - 10(10) W/cm2, while at 10(10) - 10(11) W/cm2 three-photon absorption predominates. The free-carrier absorption cross section of sigma-a = 2.7 x 10(-18) cm2 and the three-photon absorption coefficient of gamma = 2 X 10(-21) cm3/W2 were determined.
