摘要
Orthorhombic YBa2Cu3O7-delta superconductor crystals have a twinned structure which can be experimentally de-twinned by applying an external mechanical stress. The analysis of de-twinning in terms of elasticity makes it possible to estimate the theoretical de-twinning stress and to propose a de-twinning mechanism based on a cooperative translation of oxygen sub-lattice layers.
