SEPARATION OF WATER-SOLUBLE VITAMINS BY REVERSED-PHASE ION-INTERACTION - REAGENT HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHY - APPLICATION TO MULTIVITAMIN PHARMACEUTICALS

摘要
This paper describes the development of analytical chromatographic methods for the separation of hydrosoluble vitamins by means of the ion-interaction reagent reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography technique, making use of a reversed-phase column as the stationary phase and of octylamine ortho-phosphate or octylamine salicylate as the interaction reagent. Spectrophotometric detection is employed. The following compounds are separated: thiamin (vitamin B1), pantotenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxamine (vitamin B6), folic acid (vitamin B8), orotic acid (vitamin B13), carnitine (vitamin BT), L(+)-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), p-amino-benzoic acid (vitamin H1), biotin (vitamin H), glutathione, DL-lipoic acid, nicotinic acid, nicotinamide (vitamin PP), and DL-methionine-S-methylsulphonium chloride (vitamin U). The results of separation are applied to the analysis of multivitamin pharmaceuticals.
