THE ELECTROCHEMICAL-BEHAVIOR OF SOME POLYVALENT ELEMENTS IN A SODA LIME SILICA GLASS MELT

摘要
The electrochemical behavior of Bi2O3, CeO2, CoO, Cr2O3, SnO2, UO3, and Ta2O5-doped soda-lime-silica glass melts is investigated. The standard potentials are measured in a wide temperature range by the aid of square-wave voltammetry, a fast voltammetric pulse method. From these data, the thermodynamic properties, δH0 and δS0, of the redox reaction: Mex + n + n 2O2 → Mex + n 4O2 were calculated and compared with data in the literature obtained by other, i.e. non-electrochemical, methods. © 1990.
