摘要
The effect of adding modifiers and dopants on the structural and conducting properties of fast ion conducting borate glasses is studied, experimentally with the aid of Raman and infrared spectroscopy, and theoretically using network dynamics and lattice dynamics calculations. In particular, the effects of Li2O as a modifier, and LiX (X = F, Cl, Br, I) and Li2SO4 as a dopant are discussed. The modifier is found to change the structure of the glass matrix through which the lithium ions, supplied by the dopant, must diffuse. These structural modifications are analyzed and discussed in reference to their effect on the resulting ionic conductivity.
