摘要
Lanthanide borogermanates, both pure and Nd3+-doped (CNd = 0.1 to 5 at%), were grown by the Czochralski method (melting point 1200 °C, Pt crucible) using oriented seeds. The main goal of the absorption-luminescence investigations was to determine the Stark level energy of the Nd3+ ions, transitions between which occur in the region of optical transparency of LaBGeO5 (≈ 0.19 to ≈ 4.5 μm, layer thickness ≈ 1 mm).
