摘要：

A randomized double-blind trial was performed to evaluate the efficacy of a new non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic drug, ketorolac, in the treatment of cancer pain compared with the opioid pentazocine. A total of 40 patients with moderate to severe cancer pain were studied, 20 patients being treated with 10 mg ketorolac given orally every 6 h and 20 receiving 50 mg pentazocine given orally every 6 h for up to 7 days. A reduction in the severity of the pain was recorded in both treatment groups with no significant difference in efficacy being found between the two therapies, although withdrawals due to adverse reactions were significantly less in the ketorolac-treated group (P < 0.005). It is concluded that ketorolac may be a useful and more acceptable alternative to opioids in the treatment of cancer pain. © 1990, SAGE Publications. All rights reserved.
