A technique for combined posterior and anterior reduction of spondylolisthesis is presented. Preliminary results suggest that this is a valid technique for obtaining satisfactory reduction of the deformity and stabilization in severe cases of spondylolisthesis (greater than 50%). The indications for this approach and possible complications are described in detail. © 1979 Harper and Row, Publishers, Inc.
