摘要
This study has examined the effect of the so-called typical (pimozide, piflutixol, cis-z-flupenthixol and spiroperidol) and atypical (thioridazine and clozapine) neuroleptics on food intake and on the anorexia induced by low and high doses of amphetamine. All neuroleptics showed a dose-related suppression of food intake. Only those doses which did not influence feeding were tested for their effect on amphetamine anorexia. Atypical neuroleptics failed to antagonize amphetamine anorexia. The typical neuroleptics displayed an attenuation of amphetamine anorexia at the two highest doses (1.0 and 2.0m kg-1) but had no effect on the lowest dose (0.5 mg kg-1). These results are discussed with reference to the possible mechanisms underlying the suppression of feeding brought about by different doses of amphetamine. © 1979.
